i moved into an old house 9 yrs ago, on moving in a large wasps nest was iradecated half way up the roof,on insulating my loft up the rafters i notice in each section of the eaves a wasps nest
mostly abandoned had been constructed.
since then i really have not noticed anything,
but while moving some stuff out of my attic on 15/11//02 suddenly a large wasp about 2+cms long
went past me towards the light then 1 more joined
him/her and buzzed around i sprayed them and moved them into a bag, moved my stuff out and shut the attic door,on returning to the attic on 21/11/02 i opened the door and pullit down and two small dead wasps slid down the lid on to the floor do you think that the large ones were queens
or a pair of hornets and do you think there is a nest once again in the eaves, will it still be alive this time of year. tc
