My Whirlpool (model#LA5700XKWO) washing machine leaks water from underneith sometime during the cycle. And what's even more odd, is that it doesn't do it everytime. It's not rincing as well as it used to. I have found that if i use less detergent, it seems to be ok. But if i use the recommended amount, the clothes still have soap in them. I know that the drain tube is not blocked.

Any suggestions before I buy a new one?
I am not going to hire a mechanic to tell me that it needs to be replaced. I am prepared to replace it as I bought it for $100 used 5 years ago. i had to replace my dryer last fall and will be getting the matching washer as soon as this one completely gives out.
