I'm afraid that doesn't help much to identity the particular design of washer in question. What is really needed is its complete model as written on its model and serial number identification tag (not on the front of the control panel).

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number tag on your appliances in the 'repair Parts section of my web site linked below.

** in about 5 or 10 seconds I can hear the water rushing back through the drain tube and back into the washer. **

It sounds like a problem with the drain house plumbing and/or washer drain hose installation. You can read a bit about the latter at the following link although it is not really about your exact situation.


How long is the drain hose and how high up above the floor does it go?
