warping of wood floors

Floor warping is more an issue of moisture than temperature. I suspect that in Arizona lack of heat would not cause any significant humidity change which would cause warping. Where are you located? We have an old (pre-Civil War) farm house in Mississippi which is unheated except when we go for occasional week-ends and we have never had any warping issues with the old pine floors.
