The wallpaper in my daughter's bathroom started coming off and she helped some of it by peeling off large strips of the paper. We would like to paint now, but it seems that the backing of the wallpaper is still clinging to the wall. I have no idea what the condition of the drywall is underneath. The paper was installed by our builder and I can't honestly remember what it looked like. My question is --should I try to remove the backing that is stuck, or should I go ahead and use the oil based primer on top of that and paint from there? I appreciate any help I can get!! Thank You!!
