By far the easiest way to remove wallpaper is to use a product call "wallwik." I did my bathroom (heavy waterproof wallpaper) and my bedroom (normal wallpaper) in about 2.5 hours for each room.

As far as I know this product is available only through the QVC cable channel or from their website

This product does not use chemicals and is very fast and un-messy. The wallpaper comes down in whole sheets and can even be rolled up for disposal. The key seems to be the scoring tool which perforates the wallpaper and the wallwik sheets which keep the wallpaper in contact with water long enough for water to soak in behind the wallpaper. I hate removing wallpaper but if you have to do it... this is the way.
