In reply to Beyond DIF and the Tiger by Mike on February 1st, 2003 05:38 PM [Go to top of thread]

I am trying to update my old 1970's bathroom. We
have been trying to remove the old wallpaper.
And, evidently I have papered over the wallpaper
that was on the bathroom origially. As we try to
remove both layers and a border, it seems that the first layer was put directly on the drywall
and it is not coming off good and we are tearing
up the drywall. We have used Dif and the
tiger. I would not recommend the Tiger to anyone
I even used it in another room and it did not
do as well as just scoring the paper with a
little box cutter! I think the scores from this
allows more of the Dif mixture to penetrate. I
have another product which I have not used yet,
E-Z Gel. I haven't used it but my son did only he did not read the directions and mix it as stated on the box: Part A to water then add
part B...So this may be better but I won't
know until we try. In the meantime, is there
anything we can do now? I really need to get
this bathroom in shape.
Thank you, Linda Campbell, Athens, Al.
