After reading some of your posts on wallpaper, I was hoping someone could give me some direction. I stripped some walls of at least 5 layers of wallpaper, paint, maybe even plaster. The bottom layer is a very old paper. Looks like 30's style, but seems to be on top of drywall. Does that make sense, I didn't know drywall was being used back then?
Anyway, since I hadn't found this site yet, my wife and I got the layers off but we're left with an uneven surface, that is, some gouges in the drywall, and in some places the original paper.
I've been given advice, to sand and then plaster over top, then paint.
