Wall repair after removing wallpaper

Posted by Stephanie on November 8th, 2002 06:33 AM

We have removed the wallpaper in our bathroom, with the tool that makes holes in the paper and the enzyme wallpaper remover. However, when we removed the paper it took with it part of the drywall. Now with the paper gone, we have brown paper and some mud over joints, nails, etc. My question is do I sand these high areas smooth then apply my texture paint or do I remud the wall. If I remud, I will basically by remuding the entire wall. Need advise, want to have this complete by Thanksgiving. Thanks and God bless!
