walkway supports

I mentioned using ties/poles for support in my other post. You can dig post holes in a creek bed as well as dig and use round tube forms to pour concrete piers if you want. The concrete will last whereas the railroad ties and poles will someday rot but I have seen them built with wood supports that last a long time.

How wide is the creek itself and how deep is it?
