I have a Central heating system with a Maple Chase Thermostat, (I don't know who the company is for the unit) I notice more this happens during the middle of the night more than during the day, but, the unit starts up and you here it running but, the gas burner takes forever to ignite. It just runs and runs, sometimes over a couple of hours and still no burner begins. There is no gas smell so, my guess is that the gas is triggered by an auto-pilot?? Do I need to call our utility company for this? I also noticed a kill switch when the front panel is removed. Maybe the front panel is not on right??

Can you help.
thank You
