Wainscotting and Baseboard

Posted by chris on July 18th, 2002 12:27 PM

I want to add wainscotting to a carpeted bedroom (using sheets of poly-bead). The sheets are 11/32 thick.

My question is - I think it will look bad running the sheets to the top of the baseboard. Should I remove the baseboard, run the wainscoting behind it, then put the baseboard back on. Or is there another solution.

I'm concerned that tucking the carpet back under the baseboard will be a problem (since it's going to be bumped out another 11/32).
