In reply to Vinyl Siding Estimate by Scott on April 6th, 2003 12:47 PM [Go to top of thread]

Greetings Scott,

Sounds high to me!

The average price of a siding job should be about 3 X the cost of all the material.

1/3 for material, 1/3 for labor, and 1/3 for the company.

Now, this depends on what kind of company you hire. If you buy vinyl siding from a department type store, you should plan on paying 3 X what a Home Improvement company charges.

I would recomend that you go to this site, and surf around the "Who are we" section. You won't see VIPCO listed by name but, they are part of Crane Plastics.

I would get three estimates from local Home Improvement contractors and check them out.

I would not hire the cheapest or the most expensive.

Good luck,

Ps.. I have Wolverine Benchmark on my home.
