I recently purchased an old 40s' home in desparate need of some fixing. The kitchen floor was covered with a vinyl sheet flooring. I pulled up a corner (which was easy enough) only to find old lino flooring (12x12)under it. The advice I am getting is not to bother removing the original flooring since it would probably be more work that it is worth. I intend to lay a new sheet of vinyl over it. Am I heading for trouble? If so, what is the best way to remove old lino?
