We've met a few of our neighbors that seem to be much like ourselves, even one who's self-employed as we are. We're probably very lucky that we haven't bought property in a neighborhood with the wrong people, instead we wanted a house wrong for the neighborhood. I'd suggest just what others have suggested to me here - to stop by neighbors throughout the subdivision and introduce yourself, inquire on matters of most importance, and visit the area at different times of the day. And possibly most important...be sure you can live with a home that's suitable for the neighborhood. Otherwise you will never be truly happy. Good luck to all.
