heres the scenerio. I'm vaulting the ceilings in my house and this is my plan of attack. I will have 14' spans from outer walls to center 9.5" tall x 28'long x 3.5" of total LVL(2). I currently have 2x4 self-supporting trusses in the house.I plan on "sistering" the 2x4 with a 2x6 to accomodate more insulation as well as added strength, and they are on 24" centers. I tend to over build when I do these I over doing it with the LVL' 1 LVL @ 1 7/8" enough? The LVL will rest on a support wall at the 12' mark of the total 28'run.I think I am allowing plenty..but better safe then sorry? any sites that might help me would be appreciated. Thanks.Rick
