Vapor Barrier between Beadboard and Brick?

Posted by BEvans on May 13th, 2002 10:41 PM

I have removed the plaster from the lower half of a fifteen inch thick soft brick wall in the bathroom of a 122 year old home that I am restoring. My intent is to put beadboard over this section. Should I install a vapor barrier to the wood nailers prior to installing the beadboard? Any thoughts on reducing moisture transfer and future paint problems would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Bob
