I just bought some cedar planks for a job around the house. I paid twice what Lowes was charging but got some really nice boards at 48 Lumber. They are straight with minimal knots. The shit Lowes had looked like what I use for kindling in the wood burner!

Sometimes you get what you pay for. Go to the places and inspect their wood very carefully. It depends on how warped, and beat up with big knot holes, of a product you want to use. Therefore, it is entirely up to your standards.

I'm not saying a higher price will guarantee a better product! You gotta look at the stuff! I have never used Ironwood so sorry I can't add info there.

PS: Tell use what part of the world you live in and why Ironwood is the perferred wood. Just curious!
