Using Concrete Blocks for a retaining wall

I am considering using concrete blocks to build a 8' X 40' retaining wall. My question is: What should the dimentions are used for the footing, How often should the blocks be core filed and how much re-bar should I use. The wall will have a 4' wing at 90 degrees on each end.

Thank you
