I have painted many kitchens with Sherwin Williams Industrial Enamel as the top coat.

Be sure to remove all harware first, clean the cabinets completely then degloss all surfaces with fine sandpaper.
I prime with Kilz tinted to the same color as the finish coat, and apply the enamel with a 3" foam roller. When completed, the cabinets look like they have a factory finish.

It is VERY durable, and washable too!

With proper prep work and normal use the finish will last for years,

Good Luck!
