100 Amps is a lot of capacity. More than many homeowners think. 100 Amps is still plenty for the average homeowner.

And, based upon the just appliances you state, 100Amps is fine.

But other questions I would ask:
Has your main breaker ever tripped?
Do you have Air conditioning? Is your Range electric? how about the hot water heater? Is there any electric heat in the house? Is your house over 3000 square feet? Are there any other high use electrical requirements like a pool, jacuzzi, lighted tennis courts, etc?

If the answer to all of the above is no, then 100Amps should more than adequate.
If any of the above are yes, you may or may not be OK with 100 amps. A simple load study should be done.
