About a week and a half ago, I had my floor refinished with Synteko, thanks to the advice from this forum. It looks fantastic BUT, while moving a couch, we put a thin scratch about 8 inches long into it. Needless to say, I was devastated. I've read previous postings about fixing this sort of thing, but I couldn't get a clear picture of what would work best. Sand the whole board down and refinish, or simply fill in the scratch with a couple coats of finish and buff down. Or, get some wood putty/dough in the crack and then finish over it? I spoke to the guy who did the floor and he is willing to give me a little Synteko, but hasn't yet advised me on what approach to take. What's the best way to approach it? I want it to looks as good and unnoticeable as possible. I'm willing to put some work into it, but of course, the less, the better. Please advise so I can get some sleep! Thank you in advance for your advice!
