Tyvex when using stucco type exterior coatings

Posted by Dorothy on October 5th, 2002 07:59 AM

Does anyone know if you can use regular tyvex house wrap if you're going to do a stucco type application on exterior wall like dry-vit or a similar product. i hear somewhere that you needed a special type of tyvex, a crinkle type, that has little pockets in it.

If yes, I do need the special crinkle type, does anyone know how I can find out how to get it. I'm around Buffalo, NY. The framers are working on my new house and I've got to find this product soon or they'll leave without putting any tyvex on the house. It's on a problem lot, sloped, and I don't think my husband and I could reach the 2nd floor to put on the tyvex ourselves. So I need to find an answer quickly. Thanks a million
