Don't you wish. (by the way, don't be tempted to put a sheet of clear plastic vinyl on the table, you'll do worse things than this.)

I don't suppose the marker is water soluable, but you could try very light soap and water and BLOT the stain.

beyond that, you don't say if the marker is only on the finish, or if it is one of those oiled finish oak tables that accept anything you set on them. If the marker is only on the finish, you can try several different solvents until you get what you want (go from mild to extreme and try a sample where it won't count for each one, working your way up to goof off or straight acetone)
If the table is an oilfinish, you may find that a bit of sandpaper to get the stain out of the wood, then restaining that spot and reoiling the entire tabletop may do the trick.
