In one of my kitchen design magazines, the designer had installed a beautiful oak floor in the kitchen. When asked what he used to get that finish, he said tung oil, which he preferred. The reason for the preference was that scratches, stains, etc could be repaired easily by just re-applying the tung oil to that spot. This makes a lot of sense to me and I want to do the same in my kitchen. Could you give me an idea on how many coats should be applied for a floor?
