Do not Insulte ove tube & nob unless you allot for air space around it. Tube & nob has been known to get warm & cause fires. Because of this, some States require that if you are doing any work in the area, it must be replaced. Replacing the tube & nob prior to insulation is the best choice and would be my recommendation.
