tub spout too short

Posted by eric57791 on May 10th, 2006 11:45 PM

I put up surround walls after removing some really nasty old surround walls. Well the old walls were 1/2" thicker.

Bottom line replacing the spout which is a standard 1/2 IPS screw-on leaves it almost 1/2" from the wall. It's funny that the cold/hot water handles have adapters so they touch the wall but the spout does not.

Are there any solutions other than replacing the pipe? Can I find a longer spout somewhere that screws on.

There is no diverter.

Thanks.

Eric
