i always thought, you should have clean, free of debris, & dry, if it were wet, it won't adhere well & in fact it may float like on top of surface which will cause it to peel up.........Plus i remember seeing once on bob's show,when doing tubs, you should fill the tub to anticipate the weight of the water..........tub caulk is very different than painter's caulk.....tub caulk has much silicone in it, thats what i use, silicone.
