Try repair first

You may want to replace it... but I vote for trying to repair it first. Delta washer kits are inexpensive and easy to find.

Turn off the water and remove the washer(s)and/or cartridge -- take them with you to a plumbing store or even Home Depot. Buy a replacement kit and install it. If the faucet works satisfactorily then take it out and replace the gasket under the plate. You will have saved yourself a bundle of money.

If the washers do not work then replace the faucet. You will at least know that you did your best to replair it before you replaced it.

If you want a faucet with different features then just go the replacement route.
