general question...I am going to replace trimwork (base molding, door & window trim, etc) in a rustic house. The house had alot of stained pine traditional / colonial sytle stuff that doesn't match the home style. I looking for a material that would produce a rustic effect but not be cost prohibitive. I have looked at some cedar in at a local lumber yard that could be worked to produce the desired effect...cedar is very soft, is it a worthwhile trim material...if not any other suggestions?
