we have a hotel and we chose to paint the tubs.
some got a good finish but some didn't.
here's what we discovered:
-dark colours like blue usually need 3 coats.
-the enamel smell is so strong and toxic it will make you really sick; a heavy duty carbon respirator and excellent ventilation is required.
-thin coats are better than thick coats because it will just drip down the sides if too thick.
-enamel won't stick to siliconed areas, take off all silicone before and take extra time for prep work
-this enamel is really really hard to take off
-the surface will not be a smooth surface like new tubs but then it's not slippery
-the enamel works well on tiles
-it take about 3 days to dry, more time is even better
