Trex and synthetic deck material.....

In Texas with the heat and sunlight Trex did not hold up. Matter of fact, the Trex display deck was removed from a homecenter that had it out doors for about one year. The stuff started buckeling and warping under the heat.

Vinyl, will not cut it down here either. I have been watching a vinyl white fence for a year or so and it is not staying brillant white like they say it should.

As you can tell, I am very conservative with Decking materials. I have a fit when customers want a deck from that new 5/4 decking wood. I have replaced so much of that due to waving, buckeling, and warping.

For a quality no problem deck, stick with PT wood or Redwood. You know what you will get and how it will last.

This is from my opinion and my observations only.
