Tree Removal

Posted by Chris Dunn on January 9th, 1998 02:03 PM

I've got a nice area of land and have plans to build
a 2 car garage on it. Only problem I have is that there
are many maple trees and two large oak trees sitting
on the area. I revieved a estimate from a lic. tree
removal company and it ran a $3,500 bill to remove 1500 sq. ft of tree space. This does not include chipping, wood removal, and stumping. I would like to save myself some money and do it my self. I have plenty of clearence all around the area to fall the big trees. My only problem is that the oak is 30 in. in diameter and I don't know how to make the proper cut to fall the giant. I have all the proper equipment to remove the brush and wood. (Mason Dump). Am I kidding myself doing this or should I bite the bullet and contrat it out.

Thanks, Chris Dunn
