Hi there, We had a roof contractor treat our cedar shake roof yesterday, while we were at work. My mother-in-law was at home and she said that he finished the job in 25 minutes. We're puzzled as to how he could do it this quickly. There isn't any visible change in the appearance of the shakes, and I didn't feel any oil or stickiness when I touched the roof this morning. How long would it typically take to treat a roof, and can one tell by looking/touching if it has been treated?
We want to make sure we haven't been taken for a ride. If it helps, our roof is between 1500-2000 sq.ft. in size, and has three separate portions as our house has a U-shaped floor plan.
