I would like to 'pickle' wood paneling to lighten up the interior of an A Frame cabin. If I use a transparent stain, what should I clean the wood with first? It is the interior finished wall on a 20 year old cabin. Looks good but common sense tells me it has dirt, dust or oils on the surface. The paneling is solid wood, no shiny finish and probably cedar. Thanks for your help. Mary Lee
