Trane XE 60 Gas Furnace

Mike,

My wife and I have a Trane XE60 Gas Furnace as well and the filter should be in the bottom of the furnace. Facing the furnace, there is a lift-off cover that exposes the main guts of the furnace, and then a smaller lift-off cover immediately below the top one (ref: the diagram)..

The covers lift straight up...

Also, if you don't put the bottom cover on correctly, the switch won't signal the thermostat that it can come back on..

Hope this helps... Now if anyone can get me a manual, I need to figure out how to light the darn pilot light.
