toxic mold

Posted by jan on June 27th, 2002 07:22 PM

I've been reading a lot about toxic mold and don't understand something: why does it cost so much to remove? Especially growing on a wall in a bathroom; can't the drywall be removed and cleaned behind, once the water leak is fixed?
Insurance companies don't cover toxic mold removal, and i've been reading that it costs anywhere from $150,000 up to have it removed.

Does anybody know why it's so expensive to remove, and is anybody else losing sleep worrying about this?
