It sounds as if you have a blocked pipe some where
down the line,(toilet 1) has a semi blockage some water
gets away but very slow this is what is giving your
backwash, somewere out in the yard you have a manhole
cover it will be close to the house, take the top and
have a look, flush toilet and see if the water comes
into the manhole,if not then look for another cover
till you find it.( you can hire some cleaning rods )
from a store, the rods are the type that screw onto
each other, if water come down the pipe fast in the manhole
then the blockage is not between the house and cover, if
the water is comming down slowly then the blockage is between
the house and the cover, push the rods up the pipe and see
what happens, it should work.if not then i'm sorry its a
plumbers job.
2) toilet that dont flush I would think has the water valve
thats on the left or right ( where the water pipe goes into
the cistern) there should be a ball or a plastic float and it
should be free moving,"when the valve is down, the water will
flow into the cistern" you can see it move as it fills up.
If it not that then have a look at the plunger ( its looks like
a tube in the middle of the cistern with a little rod that fitted
to the handle of the toilet.on the bottom should be a rubber ring
(washer) have a look to see if that in good order and not
damaged in anyway..
But I think its the float that is not moving the way it should.
Sorry I can't help you further.
