Hi Derek,
Nice to know some one reads what is said, to cover
yourself, and tobe with in the law,you should have
a county planning office, ask them to give you the
information about decks and things like that, because
there must be pages and pages on the subject, but you
only need info about the decks, so ask them, and they
can help you,( and be friendly to them, they can make
or brake you,)I say this because if/when you want to
sell your house the question will come up about the
deck, and if you have all the papers it will add value
to the house too.
