Hi Harold: I would suggest going to a sporting goods store and buying one for less than the cost of materials. Otherwise, I think the Red-Green show illustrated how to make one. Start with a 12" extension ladder, some old sets of skis, cloths poles, and duct tape. First duct tape two skis to one end of the ladder for the rear tracks. Tape one end of the other skis to the front of the ladder. For steering, you need to rig the cloths poles just right and duct tape. Sorry I can't be as explicit as the TV show. With this kind of sled, you don't want to bother with the hill in the back yard. You want to get that baby out on the steepest interstate you can find. I70 out of Denver has some great runs!
