...with what LJ said; the felt alone will keep out MOST water by itself during a short time, but if this storm included some wind, it wouldn't be unusual for water to reach the decking.

The decking getting wet once is rarely a problem, so long as it's allowed to dry relatively quickly. Before installing the finish roof material be sure the decking is dry, and the felt is all in tact. Replace any which was torn by winds, and be sure any end joints in felt runs overlap each other 2 feet. Also ensure that horizontal overlaps were done correctly; with the uppermost run overlapping the next lowest, and so on down the slope.
