Ken, you're only confusing the lady with your lack of knowledge on this subject! First of all, bathroom exhaust fans are the wimpiest form of ventilation you can have. And your claim about it removing 2-3 pints of water per hour is pure nonsense. Where do you get your facts from? Plus, depending on the environment, you're going to have very few days of dry outside air, unless you live in Las Vegas! The energy required to power a dehumidifier is a small price when you consider the damage that moisture causes in a household. When you have a serious problem, you find a serious solution.
