tile vs lanolium on peir and beam

Posted by Amy on March 6th, 2001 10:42 AM

here is some background to our problem. my husband and i are in the midst of a very big remodel. we have moved and gutted a house. it now has a peir and beam floor. it had been dry when we moved it and now it has rained more than enough. the house has now settled about 2 inches.

I have several questions. how long will it continue to settle. should we avoid tile since it is moving around. my hubby is concerned with the grout cracking and such. is there an alternative to lanolium if tile is out. i think since we are putting all of this work into this house i hate to put down something cheap when what i want is tile. (12x12) tiles.

any advise i can get would be greatly appreciated.

looking forward to hearing from anyone.
