Teresa, this is why it's very important to watch the batch #'s when buying tile, as each run can vary in color, just like wallpaper. Ideally, you would still have some leftover tile which you could use to replace them.
One possible option here is to get in touch with the tile manufacturer or distributor if you still have the boxes the tile came in. You can give them the batch # on the box, and with a little luck they might be able to tell you where else might have some of that same batch.
Beyond this, I'd suggest area rugs, as you would not like the results of painting the tile, and it simply wouldn't hold up to traffic.
