Tile setting

Posted by Chet on May 5th, 2003 07:53 PM

I'm making a garden slop sink counter top. So far I have the 3/4 plywood and 1/2 in cement backer board on to put the tile om.The kind of tile i'm using is 1/2 in thick 5x9 with1/4 in ribs on the bottom spaced 1/4 in apart. They used to be balist for a roof.and are in great shape. There sort of redish black baked clay. My question is can I use regular morter mix to set the tiles and but a black grout to fill in the jointr. Or could I use outdoor liquid nail to stick the tiles then grout them Thanx Chet
