When putting down tile on a slab floor, I was told to first use Hardibacker backerboard and glue it down first. Then put down the tile. That is all well and fine but in doing so your height comes up 1/2 inch overall. Now we go to put on the wax ring with longer toliet bolts and the question is, will this leek sence the toliet is a half inch higher then it was before, or do you need to get some kind of an addaptor.I don't think the wax ring is thick enough to take up the space of the backerboard and tile. Please Help. Thanks Larry
