My husband and I have decided to install 1'floor tiles in our kitchen and hall. THe problem is that our entry hall is the main entrance and focal point into the kitchen. We layed the tiles down in a dry run and found that to go down the center of the entry hall leaves us approx 1 1/2 inch on each side for edge pieces. We are concerned about only having 1 inch tile down the edges of the hall. Everything I have read tells me to make sure I use at least 1/2 tile for the edge pieces. Can you assist?
