This friendly exchange between Carl and I was more about general ideas. We happen to believe the same outcome can come about in two different ways.
This may be true! That would depend on the person you were talking to.
Some people when asked nicely would be happy to oblige. While others need to know the reasons of how this would benefit them by obliging.
I am at the point with my twelve year old daughter that just saying "no" or telling her to do this or that, is all in the past. The normal responce is, "DAaad"(those with girls will understand, Teenage boys just say "Huh?")
If I explain to her what I want done and why, It gets done and we seem to become closer!
