The replacement model I am using is a Cadet by Honeywell T410B. It's a double pole but universal for 2 or 4 wire applications. I have it wired in, but what do you do with the 2 extra wires? Tape them off is what the salesman told me. Just tape them individually and cram them in the box? Seems like a lot of wire in there. Have been looking for a T410A which is the single pole model, but nobody stocks it. Have it special ordered, will take 2 weeks. Will use in other rooms to replace the ancient, yet operational ones currently there. The one I am replacing got broken during remodeling..somebody's impatience (not mine, they are easy to remove). The salesman swears you can just wire the top two terminals and tape off the lower wires. I did this but it doesn't work. Have checked ceiling cable for breaks, yes, and found none. Thanks for any help.
