thermostat heat anticipator

Posted by Shannon on November 25th, 2000 06:09 PM

I recently had an "electrician" replace my thermostat for a gas furnace. But he did not know he had to set the heat anticipator. Now the furnace does not seem to come on when it should and either doesn't heat up the house or heats to much. Im guessing the heat anticipator isn't set correct. I don't know what my old one was set at. what number do I set it on?
